Mercedes-Benz of San Antonio, the leading San Antonio Mercedes-Benz dealership, is excited to announce that Mercedes-Benz will be bolstering the interior for the next-generation A-Class, with some technological advancements.
Mercedes-Benz’s new A-Class is slated to debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show taking place in March. There, Mercedes-Benz will debut the A-Class which will be installed with Mercedes-Benz’s updated COMAND infotainment system. The COMAND system has received more of a face lift than the car itself. The new infotainment system features much more compatibility with the new Apple iPhone 4S, not to mention a more modern look and feel.
The coolest new feature about this new system is the fact that Mercedes is the first to integrate their infotainment system with Apple’s Siri, voice recognition technology. What this translates to is simple, those with and iPhone 4S and Mercedes-Benz’s revamped A-Class will be able to schedule appointments, send text messages and emails, get weather updates and access their iTunes library via voice commands.
Another cutting-edge feature for the COMAND infotainment system, in Europe, is the fact that by having the new Digital DriveStyle app drivers can stream AUPEO!, European online radio, and also connect with their social profiles. Another cool feature is that the COMAND system will simply be able to find your vehicle in a crowded mall parking lot as well as provide drivers with real-time traffic info.
The only downturn to all of this incredible news is the fact that we, American drivers, will have to wait to get our hands on this as it will be limited to the Euro-only A-Class for starters. Mercedes-Benz has also stated that this technology will be limited to the A-Class for starters, but will be introduced to the B-Class, C-Class and E-Class at a further date this year.
